Job Description

Responsible for executing design activities across BorgWarner's global engineering centers in collaboration with international design teams. Key duties include:

? Developing and adapting design concepts using advanced CAD tools based on customer and engineering input.

? Creating accurate 2D drawings and 3D models, including assemblies, layouts, and stack-ups.

? Utilizing CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, and Unigraphics NX for product design.

? Demonstrating creativity, strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and tolerance management.

? Fostering team collaboration and taking initiative on challenging tasksExecute engineering design tasks (3D/2D modeling, drawings, documentation) using CAD tools like Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, AutoCAD, etc.
? Apply ISO Geometrical Product Specifications (

ISO GPS

) per automotive standards; convert legacy 2D drawings to 3D models.
? Collaborate with global engineering teams and customers to support design-related activities and ensure alignment with project goals.
? Create and update Assembly Bills of Materials (BOMs) to maintain accurate product structures.
? Utilize Product Data Management (PDM) tools like Teamcenter for efficient document and data management.
? Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
? Maintain and improve design standards, work instructions, and drafting practices.
? Ensure compliance with BorgWarner standards, confidentiality, and quality systems.
? Mentor peers; review and check drawings to meet FTR (First Time Right) targets.
? Perform basic analysis using CAD layouts, stack-ups, and FEA tools.Participate in safety audits.
? Gender: Both Male and Female are preferred
? Bachelor's degree in mechanical; Production; Automotive; electrical & Electronics; Electronics & communication; Mechatronics engineering.
? Minimum of 4-7 years in mechanical design, 3D modeling, and drawing release
? Expert in Creo (2000+ hours preferred), working knowledge of SolidWorks, UG and Catia
? Strong expertise in ISO GPS, drawing interpretation, and Microsoft Office tools
? Experience in casting design and manufacturing processes; understanding of casting-machining relationships
? Familiar with tooling, pattern making, and casting methods (sand, permanent Mold, investment)
? Knowledge of turbocharger components is a plus.
? Exposure to iron casting technology, tooling, and international standards
? Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
? Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills required
