The Senior Commissioning Engineer is responsible for leading the safe and efficient commissioning of Air Product\'s SMR (Hydrogen) plants mainly within India, Europe, Middle East, and Africa but with some potential for involvement further afield as part of the Global Organization. Candidate should have completed bachelor\'s degree in Chemical/Mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 10 to 12 years\' experience in commissioning/start-up or operation of Steam Methane Reformer (SMR) plants. . To have knowledge about catalyst loading methods of Reformers, PSA and Desulfurizers etc. . Self sufficient knowledge on boiler operations, reformer operations and handling hydrocarbon systems . Required good knowledge of SWP, LOTO standards to handle day to day commissioning works The senior Commissioning engineer is responsible for the management and planning of all site based inspection, testing and commissioning activities including management of the pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup phases of the project. Primary accountabilities during the commissioning phase include safety, cost, schedule, and reliability. Responsible for Process line walk downs, raise punch list, check the system readiness for Pre-commissioning activities. Responsible for preparation of pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures. Responsible to supervise the pre-commissioning activities which will be conducted by contractors such as lube oil flushing, Line blowouts, cooling water flushing. Required to work with inter departments such as Instrumentation, electrical, machinery and Process controls to enhance the pre-commissioning of other areas. Required and responsible to take part in validation of the logics in the DCS and field testing as per given procedure. Responsible to work in shift duties if required for the commissioning and plant start-up. Responsible to understand and execute the Operating procedures steam methane reformers, do modifications of the procedures if anything identified different from the procedure during start-up. To record and maintain the documentation of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up. Should have good skills to understand OEM manuals. Self-starter to coordinate with vendor if required to deal with warranty issues of OEM supplied equipment\'s. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and influence team members in various cultural areas. Lead site teams of on-site specialists in pre-commissioning, commissioning and plant start-up activities including: Compliance with Air Products Standards and Commissioning Best Practices. Responsibility for site safety and staff welfare Ensuring site teams comply with and actively participate in the Basic Safety Process (BSP) Co-ordination Design Near Misses (DNM\'s) and Process Safety Incidents during start-ups Control of activities at site to achieve set financial, power and labour budgets
