ROLE: Senior Engineer - Ruby on Rails

ROLE DESCRIPTION

• 
  Writing serverside web application logic in Ruby
• 
  Ability to show working knowledge of libraries such as Resque, jQuery, and RSpecDevelopment of new web applications
• 
  Maintenance of existing web applications
• 
  Create backend components
• 
  Senior Ruby Developer responsibilities include:
• 
  Writing effective and scalable code in Ruby
• 
  Building backend components for web applications
• 
  Testing applications for performance, responsiveness and security
• 
  We are looking for a Senior Ruby Developer to join our IT team and help us build functional software and webbased applications.
• 
  Senior Ruby Developer responsibilities include creating backend solutions, building efficient gems and integrating frontend components.
• 
  If youre interested in both getting your hands dirty with writing code from scratch and reviewing other peoples work, wed like to meet you.
• 
  Ultimately, you will contribute in all phases of the software development life cycle, from design to deployment.
• 
  Responsibilities: Write effective and scalable code in Ruby
• 
  Build backend components for web applications
• 
  Test applications for performance, responsiveness and security
• 
  Review and debug junior developers code
• 
  Integrate data storage and data processing solutions
• 
  Build, install and share gems and plugins
• 
  Create automated test scripts
• 
  Improve and maintain applications after deployment
• 
  Coordinate with team members who work on different layers of infrastructureRequirements and skills
• 
  Work experience as a Ruby Developer
• 
  Indepth understanding of objectoriented programming
• 
  Handson experience writing commandline apps using Ruby libraries
• 
  Expertise in Rails
• 
  Understanding of agile software development
• 
  Familiarity with automated testing platforms
• 
  Problemsolving skills
• 
  Connect the application with the other web services
• 
  Extending and maintaining JSON and Liquidbased APIs
• 
  Additional experience as a software engineer in other relevant software development projects
• 
  Working knowledge of RESTful, ORM, MVC, APIs, and Mocking
• 
  Experience with databases such as mySQL and PostgreSQL
• 
  Familiarity with the agile methodology
