Job Purpose: Engineer - Billing is responsible for ensuring accurate energy billing and settlement processes, managing regulatory compliance, resolving billing issues, and optimizing data analysis and automated systems to maintain financial accuracy and operational efficiency in renewable energy transactions.
Responsibilities:
Energy Billing Accuracy and Validation:
Validate energy billing by cross-referencing generation and billing data with published DSM statement on RPC website.
Conduct audits and align with contractual obligations.
Ensure accurate reconciliation of bills by reviewing discrepancies and ensuring all charges are accounted for and corrected where necessary.
Settlement Process Management:
Execute the settlement of energy transactions by processing payments timely, and resolving discrepancies.
Implement automated systems and advanced reconciliation methods to streamline the settlement process and ensure accurate transaction recording.
Regulatory Compliance in Billing and Settlement:
Ensure all billing and settlement activities adhere to relevant regulations to avoid penalties.
Update processes with evolving regulations and generate detailed reports to document compliance and maintain regulatory standards.
Customer Billing:
Raise bills as per PPA and follow up for payments.
Resolve billing issues by analyzing discrepancies, coordinating with internal teams, and providing timely resolutions to customers if arise
Automated Billing System Integration and Maintenance:
Implement and maintain automated billing systems to streamline processes and adapt to evolving market conditions.
Monitor system performance, update regularly to incorporate new market rules, and enhance operational efficiency with minimal manual intervention.

Qualifications:
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or Energy Management.
Knowledge of billing systems and energy market regulations is preferred.
Work Experience:
2+ years of experience in billing, settlement, or financial operations within the energy sector.
Experience with billing, settlement and coordination with financial departments or institutions.
