is responsible for supervising and executing quality control activities, dimensional inspections, and non-destructive testing operations across aerospace, oil & gas, medical, energy, and precision machining components. The role ensures adherence to

standards while ensuring product integrity and defect-free output.
The position works closely with QA, Production, Engineering, Customer, and Supplier teams.
Prepare stage inspection plans based on stage drawings.
Lead and guide QC inspectors in day-to-day inspection activities.
Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
Carry out dimensional checks using CMM, micrometers, height gauges, and precision metrology equipment.
Review engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerance requirements.
Prepare and maintain QC inspection reports ensuring complete traceability.
Participate in FAI/FAIR preparation and verification.
B. NDT Execution & Technical Support (UT / MT / PT / VT / RT)
Perform NDT operations as per approved procedures and applicable standards (NAS 410 / ASNT).
Interpret NDT indications and make accept/reject decisions.
Prepare NDT inspection reports and maintain method-wise documentation.
Support Level III in qualification, training, and mentoring of Level I/II NDT technicians.
Assist in developing, reviewing, and revising NDT procedures and technique sheets.
C. Quality Compliance & Documentation
Ensure strict adherence to AS9100D & ISO 9001 documentation requirements.
Support corrective actions using tools such as RCA, 5-Why, and Fishbone.
Maintain calibration records, inspection logs, and NDT documentation.
Support internal/external audits through proper QC & NDT documentation.
Act as
Calibration In-Charge
for scheduled calibration activities.
D. Customer & Supplier Quality Interface
Provide technical clarifications during customer audits and reviews.
Support customer complaint resolution and defect investigations.
Verify incoming materials, supplier NDT reports, and material certificates.
Participate in supplier audits and capability assessments.
E. Process Improvement & Problem Solving
Identify inspection gaps, quality risks, and recurring issues.
Suggest and implement improvements to reduce rework and rejection.
Coordinate with Production and Engineering for troubleshooting and part validation.
Participate in CI activities such as 5S, Kaizen, and CAPA.

Maintain valid NDT certifications and renewal records.
Comply with NDT safety regulations and workplace safety standards.
3. Required QualificationsEducation
Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy, or relevant engineering disciplines.
Experience
5-10 years of QC & NDT experience in aerospace, oil & gas, medical, or precision machining industries.
Experience in dimensional inspection and NDT of safety-critical parts.
Knowledge of FAI, PPAP, NCR handling, CAPA, and audits preferred.
NDT Certification
Level III preferred; strong Level II candidates also considered.
Mandatory in
UT / MT / PT / VT
(RT optional based on need).
Certifications must comply with
