What Youll Be Doing:
Lilly Kubed, our enterprise container platform is designed to empower developers and streamline application lifecycle. Lilly Kubed embraces GitOps principles, enabling automated deployments and infrastructure management through Git repositories. This promotes collaboration, auditability, and faster recovery from failures. Lilly Kubed is more than just a container orchestration tool; it's a comprehensive platform that seamlessly abstracts the complexities of security and infrastructure management, allowing teams to focus on what they do best: building exceptional applications.
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you are primarily focused on the practical application of advanced technical skills to design, develop, and implement scalable solutions. You take ownership of complex tasks and projects, ensuring alignment with best practices, architectural standards, and business goals. In addition to delivering high-quality work within your assigned scope, you may also provide technical guidance, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities & Objectives:
Work as a Senior platform engineer to develop and maintain Kubernetes platforms
Assist in bridging skillsets and facilitate knowledge sharing across the development team, fostering a cross-functional environment where every team member can effectively contribute
Using problem-solving skills, you will strive to quickly identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs for optimal user experience
Maintain existing clusters and continuous updates, ensuring code quality and automation
Work in a modern Agile environment to deliver customer value with regular cadence
Basic Requirements & Experience Expectations:
6+ years of experience in industry performing Kubernetes Platform Engineering
Must Experience and strong knowledge on container technology platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift / Azure Kubernetes / AWS EKS etc.
4-year (bachelors) degree in computer science, software engineering, or similar field
Understanding Firewall / Load Balancer / Network integration
Experience working with Azure and AWS cloud platform is a must. Preferably AWS.
Experience with Agile and DevOps development methodologies
Automate our container infrastructure hosted on Cloud
Good to have an experience in implementing Service mesh Administration on Kubernetes platform and hands-on with mesh capabilities
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk and Grafana.
Experience with configuration management systems such as Terraform and Ansible is a must require
Experience working with continuous integration/continuous deployment tools (e.g. GitHub Actions)
Develop custom tools as needed to support process optimization, challenging the status-quo and improving operational efficiency
Good to have an experience in GO lang / python
Practical experience with AWS, particularly services like AWS CDK, EC2, IAM, VPC, CFT and Lambda etc.
Good to have understanding on Redis and Elasticsearch
Good to have an understanding on authentication and authorization
Understanding of IT life cycle methodology & processes
Additional Skills/Preferences:
Previous Pharmaceutical IT experience would be an added advantage
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly
Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills
Excellent self-management skills. Strong problem-solving skills, Process improvement skills
Organization skills, Self-management. Demonstrated ability to evaluate, facilitate, and drive towards risk-based decision making. Proven team player and the ability to work in a dynamic environment, where needs and priorities can change, with compressed deadlines
