Sr. Engineer - Planning & Billing
in Madhya Pradesh or Rajasthan.
Job summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented
will be responsible for managing the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and billing processes for large-scale water supply infrastructure projects across multiple states. This role requires expertise in project scheduling, cost estimation, contract management, and invoice processing, client management, delivery of projects in time & cost. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules for water supply projects.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and execution teams to align project milestones.
Identify and mitigate delays, risks, and cost overruns through proactive planning.
Prepare cost estimates, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections for projects, Includes Ensuring cost-effective resource allocation across multiple project sites.
Monitor actual vs. planned costs and take corrective actions when required.
Oversee contract billing, measurement, and verification of work done.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of Running Account (RA) bills and final bills. Coordinate with clients, government agencies, and contractors for bill approvals.
Ensure compliance with contractual billing terms, tax regulations, and financial policies.
Review and interpret contract agreements, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and work orders.
Maintain detailed records of project expenditures, work progress, and variations.
Identify risks in billing and planning processes and implement corrective measures.
Generate MIS reports, progress reports, and financial summaries for management review.
Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as cost efficiency, billing cycle time, and budget adherence.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
10+ years of experience in planning and billing for water supply or infrastructure projects.
Expertise in cost estimation, contract management, and financial planning.
Strong knowledge of water supply project execution, BOQ preparation, and rate analysis.
Experience in government and municipal project billing processes.
Familiarity with ERP systems, SAP, AutoCAD, and project planning tools.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and financial management skills.
Expertise in project scheduling and cost control.
Leadership and strategic planning for large scale infrastructure projects.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
Good negotiation and communication skills for stakeholder coordination.
Strong in Public relations capability.
Proficiency in billing and invoicing software, taxation, and compliance standards.
