To succeed in this role, you must have a master's degree with minimum 10 years relevant experience preferably centered on pipeline design for transport of natural gas, hydrogen and CO2, onshore pipelines, offshore pipelines, landfall designs, pipeline routing, pipeline specifications, pipeline project planning, cost estimating, and engineering management of pipeline projects. You will join our Pipeline department within the Energy Transition Division You will be part of a department with many interesting projects such as traditional gas infrastructure pipelines and facilities, as well as the green transition, with a growing portfolio of Hydrogen and CO2 pipelines, as well as submarine cables to offshore wind farms. We perform the design work for the pipelines and cables in the department, and cover all phases of the projects, from Feasibility to FEED to Detailed design, as well as site supervision, so you will be able to see the result of your work directly applied in construction onshore and offshore. As an example, we have performed design work for both the offshore and onshore pipelines on the Baltic pipe project and are currently assisting with supervision during construction works. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be: Pipeline engineering and project engineering management. Natural gas, H2 and CO2 pipeline design. Pipeline Cost Estimating. Project Report writing and presentations It would be a benefit if the applicant has interest in and can document good skills in FEmodelling. We work in ANSYS, SIMLA, Orcaflex, MATLAB and other specialized programs/applications developed in-house or acquired commercially. For this role, we believe your starting point is: B.E. / M.E. / B. Tech. / M. Tech in Marine Structure / Structural Engineering / Offshore engineering (from reputable university) Professional experience as Offshore Pipeline Engineer for a minimum of 8-10 years for offshore pipelines. Experience in pipeline projects and performing Concept, FEED Detailed Design, EPC and/or Follow-on Construction Engineering Minimum 4+ years of experiences as senior offshore pipeline in making feasibility studies, concept design, FEED, and detailed design of offshore pipeline. Experience with H2 and/or CO2 pipeline systems would be an advantage Excellent knowledge of pipeline design software (e.g. SIMLA, ANSYS, FatFree, Stablelines) Confidence in own ability in relevant problem solving. Huge insight in the geotechnical aspects related to offshore pipeline design Experience in pipeline design disciplines, such as wall thickness, route selection, global buckling design, fatigue, material selection and/or on-bottom stability Experience in landfall design and trenchless pipeline construction techniques would be an advantage Must be familiar with the relevant pipeline industry codes and standards (DNV, API, ASME, NACE) Knowledge of pipeline materials, corrosion mechanisms or welding would be an advantage Knowledge on Pipeline Commissioning and start-up would be an advantage Have good client focus and project reporting skills. Proactive and good at making technical coordinating within project team Contribute to a continuously improve design methods and implement lessons learnt from previous projects to optimize value engineering Understanding of local FEM analysis supporting the FLS and ULS strength check Huge experience in supervising designers The desire to learn and use Ramboll's in house software named ROSAP for structural design Ensure that Ramboll's Code of Conduct, values and quality assurance system is followed all time Capable of making: In-place analysis (incl.
