Position Title: Senior Engineer Network - Automation
:
Experience Required:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in network engineering, with focus on cloud networking and automation.
• Deep expertise in Azure, GCP, and OCI networking services.
• Strong scripting / programming skills in Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Proven experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other infrastructure automation tools.
• Familiarity with container networking (Kubernetes, service mesh) is a plus.
• In-depth understanding of routing protocols, firewalls, DNS, and load balancing.
• Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Solutions Architect, CCNP/CCIE, or similar are a strong plus.

Technical Skills:
Networking Fundamentals

• TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs
• Understanding of network topologies and protocols

Automation & Scripting Must

• Python (most widely used for network automation)
• Bash, PowerShell (depending on environment)
• Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON / YAML

Configuration Management Tools -Must

• Ansible (most popular in network automation), Terraform - Must
• Installed and Configured Ansible and or Ansible Tower and Terraform
• Puppet, Chef (less common but still useful) Nice to have

Network Device Interaction

• Experience with CLI and SNMP
• Tools like Netmiko, NAPALM, pyATS, ncclient (for NETCONF)

Version Control

• Git (essential for collaboration and change tracking)

CI/CD Pipelines Must

• Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools for automated testing and deployment

Monitoring & Logging Must

• Tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack
• Syslog, SNMP traps, NetFlow / sFlow

Cloud Networking

• AWS, Azure, GCP networking concepts
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or CloudFormation

Soft Skills & Practices:
Problem Solving & Troubleshooting

• Ability to debug scripts and network issues efficiently

Documentation

• Clear documentation of automation workflows and network changes

Collaboration

• Working with network engineers, DevOps, and security teams

Security Awareness

• Understanding of network security principles and secure coding practices

Agile & DevOps Mindset

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and iterative development

Must Have Skills:
