Job Description

This role is to work as part of an engineering consultancy design team in India, taking a senior role in project design work, focused on production and liaison with the WSP Industry Team.



Input to schedule and preparation of man hour estimates/control and monitoring. Controlling discipline hours budge and cost of works on allocated project. Carrying out C&I design work, including: Preparation of instrumentation and I/O schedules. Design concept and layout development. Control System URS document. Instrumentation specifications. Control valve specifications. Input into package plant specifications. Design of Safety Instrumented Systems. Process hazard studies (inc. HAZOP) and design safety reviews. Preparing Installation Specification and contract schedules. Leading CAD team in production of C&I drawings. Approving and checking of all C&I design work on allocated projects. Design / calculations for intrinsically safe systems. Supporting UK on technical bid. Application of GAMP lifecycle on relevant project. Technical liaison with Suppliers, Package Vendors and Sub-contractors. Preparation of Design Safety Reviews and designers risk assessments.

Education - M. Tech Electrical Good interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a multi-discipline team. Versatile, reliable and resourceful Customer focus, commitment to quality management and problem solving. Experience in the selection and specification of BPCS and SIS. Experience in the selection and specification of field instrumentation. Experience in electrical engineering design on capital projects. Experience of electrical design in ATEX hazardous areas
