Infrastructure Engineer Location: Bengaluru Your impact & contribution Our greenfield platform is built solely on AWS, with automated deployments managed via GitOps. You\'ll work on both project and BAU tasks, including establishment of our API portals, developing automation to simplify onboarding to our API gateways & ensuring adherence to CBA\'s API standards. Your reporting lines The Infrastructure Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager. This role has key internal relationships with all other development and infrastructure roles, Technical Consultants, Business Analysts and Project members. Your responsibilities You will be expected to perform the following tasks and responsibilities in a manner consistent with CBA\'s Values and People Capabilities. Demonstrable experience working with API Management - including Open API Specs, API Gateways (preferably Kong) and API portals. Strong track record in a Senior Engineering capacity working in a public cloud environment either in AWS or Azure. Are passionate about Cloud/DevOps/Automation and possess a keen interest to solve complex problems in a systematic approach. Able to deploy, monitor and maintain the API Gateway and Service Mesh Platforms that connect systems together. Strong communication skills. Undertake any other tasks assigned by your manager that you have the capability to perform safely in line with relevant internal Group policies and external regulatory requirements. Adhere to the . Your skills & experience Essential : Sound understanding of REST APIs & their development - including creation of Open API specifications. Strong experience with Javascript (or preferably Typescript) for both front and back end development. Experience with foundational AWS services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, Secrets Manager, etc.). Experience using Configuration as Code to manage your application configuration. Experience with source control systems ( Git ) and with CI/CD tools. An understanding of Kong API Gateway or any API Gateway would be beneficial but not essential. The ability to analyze complex technical requirements, review architecture documents and solution design, and determine appropriate test automation approach and best engineering practices based on technical design.
