Job Summary:

The Senior Industrial Engineer will lead the development and optimization of manufacturing systems, processes, and layouts in a motor manufacturing environment. This role focuses on improving productivity, reducing waste, and enhancing quality through lean methodologies and time-motion studies.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct time and motion studies, work sampling, and line balancing for motor assembly and component manufacturing lines. Knowledge in PPAP, PFD, PFMA, control plan documents. Lead productivity improvement initiatives across the shop floor using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma tools. Analyze and improve material flow, plant layout, workstation design, and ergonomics. Implement capacity planning and equipment utilization strategies based on production forecasts. Drive cost reduction initiatives through process optimization, automation, and elimination of non-value-added activities. Collaborate with design, quality, production, and maintenance teams to implement new product introductions (NPI) and engineering changes. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for various operations. Evaluate and justify capital investments in tools, jigs, fixtures, and automation. Monitor and report on key industrial engineering metrics such as takt time, OEE, cycle time, and line efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety standards and continuous improvement in workplace ergonomics.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies Proficiency in time study, line balancing, and capacity analysis Hands-on experience with plant layout and facility planning Familiarity with SAP and industrial engineering software (AutoCAD, Solid Works, etc.) Exposure to motor manufacturing or automotive component manufacturing is highly preferred

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt Industrial Engineering Certification AutoCAD or Plant Simulation tools

Pay: ?600,000.00 - ?800,000.00 per year
