achelor's or post graduate degree in Civil Engineering with 7-10 years postgraduate experience with a consultancy or developer.
E

xperience with all aspects of highway / freeway design (e.g. alignments, geometrics, staging, utilities, roadside safety, Contract specifications/ documents, Quantities, constructability);
S

trong abilities to work with various software packages (i.e. Civil 3D, OpenRoads, Inroads a plus, Microstation, CAD, Microsoft Office);
E

xperience with technical writing, minute preparation, etc.
A

bility to handle multiple projects;
A

bility to estimate design level of effort, meet milestone schedule deliverables etc.

eneral understanding of traffic engineering principles;
S

olid understanding of QA / QC as well as Environmental Health and Safety practices / requirements;
T

he successful candidate will be a dynamic, self-motivated individual who will assist senior engineers in project work, focused on delivery to the client and technical excellence. The ability to design deliverables against Canada Engineering standards for each stage of a project is preferred and training and guidance will be provided where necessary

nderstanding of Provincial Ministry of Transportation, Canadian standards and design practices are an asset;

amiliarity with Canadian regulatory environment and experience with approval processes is an asset;
