Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Project Management:

• Lead and manage the entire highway project lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, and completion.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, anticipate and resolve any issues or risks, and provide regular updates to senior management.

2. Technical Expertise:

• Utilize a deep understanding of highway design principles and engineering concepts to produce innovative and cost-effective solutions.
• Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies and analyse technical data, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design codes and standards.
• Oversee and review detailed engineering designs, calculations, and specifications, ensuring compliance with local regulations and project requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

3. Collaboration and Coordination:
- Foster effective communication, coordination, and collaboration within the highways team and cross-functional departments and lead country project managers.
- Liaise and coordinate with external stakeholders requirements including clients, contractors, government agencies, and utility companies, to ensure the roadway design delivery is compliant to the smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular design execution oversee that for construction doability, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Provide guidance and support during the procurement process, including the evaluation of tenders, negotiations, and vendor selection.

4. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures and best practices throughout the design phase to ensure high-quality project delivery.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with design, safety, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to develop and maintain appropriate documentation and records.
- Carry out risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on construction sites.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in civil engineering. A master\xe2\x80\x99s degree is an advantage.
• Professional engineering license or registration.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in highway design and project management, preferably with a focus on large-scale projects.
• Preferred to have Nordics countries Highways design practice and exposure to the Euro code /TrV standards and design manuals.
• In-depth knowledge of highway design principles, codes, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in industry-specific software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D etc..
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose innovative and efficient solutions.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
