Key Responsibilities
Design, analyze, and review the structural elements of data centers such as HPC servers/super computers for structural integrity and vibrations
Familiarity with domain like servers/super computers and appreciation for typical failure modes, loads (including extreme)
Independently analyse simulation data, interpret findings, and provide actionable insights with recommendations for system design improvements.
Carry out hand calculations to verify the simulation is in expected lines and prepare detailed technical report with justification is expected
Work closely with development team to integrate analysis results into the product development process.
Adherence to industry standards and safety standards
Work in good collaboration with global and local teams
Documentation of Technical reports for design reviews and participate in the design reviews as needed
Work Experience
Expertise with commercial software such as ANSYS (preprocessing and solutioning)
Expertise in structural design and validation of sheet metal assemblies like racks and chassis of the servers/data centers or other large industrial/mission-critical facilities
Expertise in vibration analysis, impact loading and random excitation. A good exposure to vibration fatigue and vibration damping is expected.
Proficient in structural analysis with seismic loads
Should be able to carryout transient response, frequency/specturm response for impact load and excitaiton/seismic loads.
Working level knowledge on UG NX /CREO or any CAD package is an added advantage.
Educational Qualifications
Master degree in Machine Design/FEA/structural dynamics or relevant/Mechanical Engineering.
5+ yrs. of experience in completing projects on designs/ redesigns/design improvements of data-center/supercomputers/servers
Certification in advanced vibration courses desired
