The primary responsibility of this role is to design and execute the PMCC hardware strategy that cuts across various products. This involves close collaboration with Global Business Organization & Product divisions to generate a common hardware strategy. Hardware design for PMCC Lead NTI projects on New technology related to PLC, Breaking and Switching products Establish hardware capabilities for PMCC business and explore opportunities on the projects. Contribute to build ownership for PMCC products Mentor upcoming hardware engineers at EIIC to prepare technical expert pipeline Collaboration with other EIIC businesses for effective project execution The Strategic focus areas for this position are as under: Standardization of common modules Component obsolescence projects The position has functional alignment across all the businesses of PMCC Following are some of the key results / metrics that will define the success of this position across the division: TRL advancement for PMCC projects Waterlining proposals for PMCC projects No. of disclosure / patents Technical performance of the project Bachelors in Electronics/ E&TC engineering 6-8 Years Sound knowledge of Electronics Components (Active, Passive & custom parts) & their applications, PCB manufacturing and assembly Hands on experience of Product development life cycle on multiple projects including requirements, design, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification Experience on microcontrollers and wireless devices and subsequent testing Hands on experience on CAM tools like CAM350, Gerber view, Valor, Altiium etc. Needs simulation experience using PSPICE, TINA et c Understand and interpret the PCB and PCBA requirements based on the available Gerbers, fabrication, assembly notes. Must possess knowledge of the PCB material, Soldermask materials, PCB solder finish methods (ENIG, HASL, OSP etc), conformal coating and methodologies, Penalization, coupons, Layer stackup, prepreg, core materials, Gerber files, fabrication drawings, drills, routes, tooling holes, fiducials, Depanelization methodologies v-Socre, mouse Bites, etc. Sound knowledge of the Design for Manufacturing and Assembly. Reflow, wave and hand soldering methodologies Knowledge of EMI/C, rectifying the problems and resolving the challenges Sound knowledge on electronic component fabrication technology and their performance curve. Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills Good analytical skills, work & interact with global cross-functional and cross-cultural team. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to clearly communicate to internal/external customers and suppliers.
