We are looking for a Mechanical Design engineer with around 5-8 years of experience in mechanical product development who is responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical components and systems. They use CAD software mainly SolidWorks and Creo to create detailed designs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet performance, safety, and cost requirements.

Key Responsibilities / Functions:

Design & Development: Create 2D and 3D models using CAD tools SolidWorks and CREO


Perform thorough quality checks on accuracy/ placement of dimensions, assure proper use of datums, Geometric Dimensional and tolerances (GD&T), perform interference/clearance checks based on design intent and manufacturing process requirements and make suggestions.


Apply GD&T as per design intent, responsible for completeness and accuracy of the information with respect to dimensions, material, process standards, engineering specifications and the engineering design guidelines.


Develop prototypes and conduct testing to validate designs.


Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and design reports.


Optimize existing designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.


Work in a global engineering team environment, collaborate with stakeholder to understand requirements and deliver according to the quality standards.

Skills/ Experience:

Tools: Creo, SolidWorks (2D & 3D), Windchill


Proficiency in Creo and SolidWorks for creating detailed 2D and 3D designs, including Part, Assembly, Sheet Metal, and Drawing modules for complex projects. Having a deep understanding of Sheet metal design, Fixtures & manufacturing process. Knowledge on BOM, Engineering standards and change management through ECR/ECN. Experience in using Windchill for data management. Good communication skills. Ability to analyse data and situation and come up with creative solutions. Exposure/experience to work in a global engineering team environment. Flexible in adapting to quickly changing business & task/Project priorities.
