KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Primary Functions - Commissioning

Actively lead process plant pre-commissioning activities in close coordination with Automation, E&I teams, and customers. Conduct plant audits as per P&ID alongside installation engineers upon completion of installation activities. Serve as the primary customer interface during the commissioning phase, representing Desmet with professionalism. Collaborate with Desmet team members to prepare detailed site reports during commissioning and pre-commissioning. Work closely with the Process and Project Management teams to ensure successful project execution. Identify and resolve process issues, ensuring smooth and continuous plant operations. Apply hands-on expertise to support plant upgrades and add-on equipment that enhance client production efficiency. Take ownership of a clean project handover to the customer. Demonstrate flexibility and readiness to travel extensively as required.

Secondary Functions - Installation

Act as Site Manager, leading all mechanical and electrical installation and erection activities, serving as the single point of responsibility for the customer. Coordinate internally with the Process and Project Management teams to align on project requirements and guidance. Manage contractor teams effectively to ensure successful plant installation. Oversee daily progress reporting (DPR) and ensure timely material planning to maintain uninterrupted workflow and meet project schedules. Support preparation of the project schedule, including major milestones. Exhibit strong proficiency in managing customer requirements and ensuring responsible project delivery.

REQUIRED PROFILE

Over 15 years of extensive experience in chemical engineering and oil technology industries. Academic background includes BE in Chemical Engineering, MSc in Oil & Fats, specialization in Oil Technology, and Diploma in Chemical. Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively. Proven leadership and negotiation expertise, complemented by a sound work ethic and integrity. Committed to continuous improvement, with a track record of driving efficiency and innovation. Critical thinker and effective decision-maker, adept at solving complex problems under pressure. High level of empathy and cultural sensitivity, experienced in collaborating with cross-functional, multicultural teams. Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, Project Management tools (D365), digital RFQ platforms, and analytical tools.
