Summary: Structural Engineer with Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed Institute with more than 12 years of experience in estimation, engineering co-ordination, front end & detaileddesign of structures/ foundations for Bridges.Candidate should have worked in an engineering office or consultancy of repute performing relevant work.Candidate should have exposure to Indian, US, Euro and other foreign codes/standards and local practices.Candidate should have exposure to 3D modeling, design and viewing tools such as Autodesk Revit, or Bentley Open Bridge Designer, Midas Naviswork etc. Experience of using support software such as MathCad, MATLAB, GT-Strudl, STAAD Pro, etc. Essential Job Duties: Able to support whole life-cycle costings and feasibility assessments. Provides engineering support to proposal documents. Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates self-perform bridge design and relevant engineering work during all phases of transportation projects Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and/or difficult coordination requirements. Maintains an up to date knowledge of current trends and implements this into practices and procedures Exercises both line management and functional direction over assigned Engineers, Engineering Supervisors and Project Engineers. Supports a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction. Reviews works of subordinates. Job Knowledge: Possesses a broad understanding of the major design engineering deliverables for bridge and relevant structures. Plans, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work. Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and/or difficult coordination requirements. Performs work using Standard Application Programs and appropriate computer aided design and computer aided engineering (CAD and CAE) tools. Coordinates engineering effort in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, and contractors and between other groups. Understanding of engineering planning and control methods including computerized methods. Understanding of the roles played by other disciplines like Hydrology, Electrical, Architectural, Geotech and Construction etc. Understanding of industry or regulatory codes and standards and design criteria pertinent to the engineering discipline. Experience in leading a team of designers in EPC and/or big FEED projects. Capable of planning, assigning, guiding and monitoring work of the team members Capable of assuring quality of design and associated deliverables . Experience in design of Metro Viaduct and dynamic analysis of structures shall be an added advantage. Qualification: Minimum 4-year degree from an accredited college in Civil Engineering. Preference will be given to the candidates with Master's degree in relevant subject. Experience: Grade 25: 12-15 years of relevant work experience Grade 26: 16-20 years of relevant work experience
