What You'll Do

Lead and enhance IBM Sterling DOM and Order Management applications that drive JCPenney's digital commerce engine. Support and extend IBM Sterling OMS (v10) modules, including Inventory, Supply Collaboration, and Reverse Logistics. Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy new features end-to-end. Build microservices-based architectures integrated with event-driven systems, APIs, and streaming platforms. Configure and optimize Sterling components -- agents, queues, participant models, and database extensions. Conduct unit testing, performance tuning, and code reviews to ensure scalability, reliability, and high performance. Champion DevOps best practices for proactive monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring

7+ years of experience in Order Management or enterprise fulfillment systems. Strong Java/J2EE development skills (4+ years), with solid expertise in SQL, Oracle, XML, and XSLT. Hands-on experience with IBM Sterling OMS v10 and related architecture. Drop-Ship Fulfillment experience (2+ years). Proven record of leading at least one end-to-end OMS implementation. Familiarity with Git, Jira, and agile development environments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills -- able to translate complex technical ideas into clear business outcomes. A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a passion for performance, quality, and scalability.

Bonus Points For

Experience with IBM Cloud or hybrid cloud environments. Knowledge of event streaming technologies such as Kafka or TIBCO. Exposure to DevOps toolchains and CI/CD pipelines.
