Join our community of exceptional people doing incredible things. : We are currently looking to add embedded software verification engineers for the Embedded Software Solutions (ESS) group within the FPGA Business Unit (BU). As part of the ESS Group, you will be involved in defining, enhancing and benchmarking embedded software for the RISC-V based multiprocessor SoC FPGA. The embedded software encompasses bare metal, RTOS and Linux based software stacks. With the focus on safely critical systems, we are committed to delivering defect free software delivery from first release our goal is to move towards test driven development. You will participate in all stages of the firmware / embedded software project, for example: defining functional test plans, building/supporting test frameworks, automated regression environment and test infrastructure, designing and implementing tests and working with the Software Development teams to resolve bugs. This verification work spans the pre-silicon development phase, which uses FPGA-based prototyping platforms and the post-silicon phase which uses lab-based evaluation boards. Job Responsibilities Creation, development, execution, and maintenance of firmware Test Plans, Test Cases, and procedures. Development of automated test cases. Automation framework Development. Isolation and resolution of complex software & firmware problems in embedded real-time systems. work closely with the firmware development team working in an Agile development process using agile tools and defect tracking tools. Work with global teams across time-zones to resolve cross functional issues Take part in documentation and code reviews and contribute to overall ecosystem. Requirements/Qualifications: Qualifications and Experience .Bachelor\'s and/or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical / Electronics. .3 to 6 years of working experience in embedded software test development, benchmarking, and test automation. Experience could be in bare metal firmware or Linux based systems. .Experience in writing test plans, test requirements, test report documents .Applications will be accepted from candidates who may not meet the educational requirements but have equivalent industry experience as demonstrated on their cv. Skill Sets .Strong C, C++ programming skills .Excellent scripting experience Python, Groovy, Linux shells etc. .Familiarity with benchmarking software such as CoreMark, FPMark. .Familiarity with Jenkins, GDB, .Must possess strong debugging skills and the ability to approach problems systematically. .Must be able to interpret specification and standard documents well. .Excellent written and oral communication skills Big plus .Excellent debugging skills and proven experience of working with multiple teams to resolve cross functional issues. .Experience in writing or testing low level device drivers is highly desirable .Experience with safety critical systems and software standard such as ASPICE.
