Overall Accountability:

Responsible for handling the entire plant's electrical maintenance, troubleshooting activities, and shift operations. The Senior Electrician will lead the electrical maintenance team, ensure smooth plant operations, and minimize downtime through effective fault management and preventive maintenance programs.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Carry out electrical troubleshooting and fault rectification across the entire plant. Perform regular preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment, panels, sensors, and systems. Manage and maintain the plant's network infrastructure including servers, UPS systems, Wi-Fi modems, and other IT hardware. Guide, train, and supervise junior electricians and shift team members. Oversee installation, commissioning, and testing of new machinery, electrical systems, and equipment. Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and electrical standards. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, breakdown logs, and preventive maintenance schedules. Manage shift operations, resource allocation, and daily coordination of the electrical team.

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of industrial wiring, electrical panels, PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems. Expertise in motor starters (DOL, Star-Delta) and VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives). Ability to quickly identify and resolve faults under pressure. Proficient in using electrical diagnostic tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, testers, etc. Hands-on experience with industrial machinery and plant electrical systems. Strong leadership, communication, and shift-handling abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Diploma / ITI / Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/industrial plant setup.
