A Senior Electrical Engineer in a college typically involves leading the design, development, and management of electrical systems for campus infrastructure, laboratories, and research projects. Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, interns, and students working on electrical engineering tasks.? Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with safety codes, industry standards, and college policies.? Collaborate with architects, contractors, and interdisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems smoothly into campus projects.? Prepare, review, and approve technical documentation, project plans, schedules, budgets, and reports.? Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost estimates for new or ongoing projects.? Troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on electrical systems and laboratory equipment to maintain operational efficiency.? Oversee training and professional development initiatives for the electrical engineering team and students.?
Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.? Several years of practical experience in electrical system design, preferably within academic or research environments.? Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, and PSpice.? Strong leadership, project management, analytical, and communication skills.? Deep knowledge of electrical safety regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to educational institutions.?
