The Senior Electrical Engineer shall be responsible for the
overall operation, maintenance, and performance of all electrical systems
associated with the water supply O&M projects executed by
M/s Kumarji Lal
, including
Ranney Wells, Tube Wells, pumping stations, and associated water supply infrastructure in Faridabad
. He shall ensure uninterrupted and safe power supply to all installations in compliance with contractual requirements and departmental guidelines.
The Senior Electrical Engineer shall supervise operation and maintenance of
HT and LT electrical systems
, including transformers, HT panels, LT panels, MCC panels, VFDs (where applicable), starters, control panels, switchgear, cabling, earthing systems, and lighting arrangements at pumping stations, Ranney Wells, and Tube Well sites. He shall ensure proper functioning, protection coordination, and reliability of all electrical installations.
He shall plan and implement
preventive and predictive maintenance schedules
and attend to
electrical breakdowns
with minimum downtime. This includes inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and rectification of faults related to motors, starters, panels, relays, contactors, circuit breakers, and cables. Detailed maintenance records and fault logs shall be maintained.
The Senior Electrical Engineer shall be responsible for
energy monitoring and optimization
. He shall monitor electrical load, voltage levels, power factor, and energy consumption of all Ranney Wells and Tube Wells, and take corrective measures to minimize energy losses, reduce penalties, and improve overall electrical efficiency. Coordination with the mechanical team shall be ensured for optimal pump-motor performance.
He shall supervise operation and maintenance of
HT/LT motors
driving pumping equipment and ensure proper insulation, alignment coordination, earthing, and thermal protection. He shall coordinate with OEMs and authorized agencies for motor testing, rewinding, or replacement whenever required.
The Senior Electrical Engineer shall ensure proper operation and maintenance of
capacitor banks and power factor correction systems
, and shall regularly analyze power factor data to ensure compliance with utility norms and avoid financial penalties.
He shall supervise site electrical manpower including electricians, helpers, and technicians, ensuring proper work practices, safety compliance, and quality workmanship. Duty rosters, work allocation, and productivity monitoring shall be managed effectively.
The Senior Electrical Engineer shall prepare and submit
Daily Site Reports, electrical maintenance reports, breakdown analysis reports, and Monthly Performance Reports
, including energy consumption data, downtime analysis, and corrective actions taken. All documentation shall be maintained accurately as per departmental and company requirements.
Ensuring
electrical safety and statutory compliance
shall be a critical responsibility. The Senior Electrical Engineer shall enforce use of PPE, safe work procedures, lockout-tagout practices, proper earthing, and compliance with applicable electrical safety regulations and standards.
He shall coordinate with officials of
FMDA and other concerned municipal departments
, attend inspections and review meetings, and ensure all electrical O&M activities are carried out strictly in line with contractual terms, technical specifications, and departmental instructions.
