Role Overview:

The Senior Electrical BIM Modeller leads the development, coordination, and management of Building Information Models (BIM) for electrical systems in building projects. This role involves advanced modelling, team leadership, quality assurance, and technical support, ensuring that all electrical BIM deliverables meet project and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage complex 3D BIM models for electrical systems (lighting, power, fire alarms, etc.) using Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and other BIM tools.

Lead interdisciplinary coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to resolve design clashes and optimize layouts.

Oversee the integration of electrical models with other disciplines, ensuring seamless collaboration.

Prepare and review detailed construction drawings, layouts, schedules, and technical documentation from BIM models.

Conduct regular model audits, clash detection, and quality checks to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.

Implement and enforce BIM execution plans and best practices.

Guide and mentor junior BIM modellers, providing technical support and training.

Delegate tasks, review work, and ensure timely delivery of BIM outputs.

Foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the team.

Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to understand requirements and present BIM deliverables.

Participate in project meetings, providing technical input and solutions for electrical BIM-

Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, standards (e.g., ISO 19650), and industry trends.

Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance BIM efficiency and quality.

Qualifications & Skills


Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

8+ years of experience in BIM modelling for building services, with a focus on electrical systems.

Advanced proficiency in BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks).

Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards (IEC, IS, NEC).

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Experience in large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial projects.

Familiarity with international BIM standards and execution plans.
