Job Summary:

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will lead detailed electrical design and engineering for oil & gas projects, including SLDs, load lists, equipment sizing, and technical specifications, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and vendors to deliver high-quality EPCM project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Involvement in designing, for detailed electrical engineering activities. Preparation of Project documents (MR, Data sheets, LOTA, MTO). Preparation of Electrical documents (Cable Schedule, Cable Sizing, Earthing calculation, Power & Control JB Wiring, Panel Schedule, Cable Tray Schedule) Preparation of Single Line Diagrams. Preparation of Design Basis Memorandum, Data sheets, Enquiry & Purchase Specifications along with Sizing calculations for various Electrical equipment like Power and Distribution Transformers. Preparation of load list, SLD, Electrical Schematic diagrams. Interface with the other engineering disciplines to ensure a coordinated design and that project engineering deliverables are completed. Interface with project team and vendors to define project scope, resolve technical issues, and prepare procurement (bid) documentation & technical specifications.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Must possess strong communication skills and interpersonal skills. Experience in Concept, Study, BEP/FEED & Detailed Engineering Activities for EPC & EPCM Projects in Offshore/Onshore (Upstream & Downstream) Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Plant. Familiar with IEC, BS, IS, CSA, API, IEEE, NFPA standards. Preparation of load list, SLD, Electrical Schematic diagrams, Power system studies & report (ETAP/SKM). Preparation of Design Basis Memorandum, Data sheets, Enquiry & Purchase Specifications along with Sizing calculations for various Electrical equipment like Power and Distribution Transformers, GTG, HV & LV Switchboards (IMCS), Data Concentrator Panel, HV & LV Emergency Diesel Generator set, HV & LV Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), HV & LV Motors, HV & LV Cables, LV Bus duct, AC & DC UPS system, Lighting system, Local Control Station, MCT, Electrical Heat Tracing, Electrical heaters, Fire Alarm system, Public Address system etc. Substation sizing and Electrical equipment layout including Containerized Room. PDS, PDMS & Bentley 3D Model review.

Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Minimum 8 years of oil and gas experience with EPCM background
