About the Role
The Senior Education Counselor will be responsible for counselling prospective students and parents, understanding career goals, explaining course offerings, handling fee discussions, and converting enquiries into successful admissions. The role requires strong communication skills, counselling expertise, and a target-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Counsel students and parents through phone calls, walk-ins, online meetings, and follow-ups
Understand students' educational background, career goals, and learning requirements
Present course details including curriculum, duration, fees, and career outcomes
Guide students in making informed learning and career decisions
Handle pricing discussions, objections, and admission closures confidently
Maintain regular follow-ups to maximize conversion rates
Achieve monthly and quarterly admission targets
Coordinate with trainers and operations teams for batch planning and schedules
Maintain accurate records of enquiries, counselling notes and conversions.
Address student concerns professionally with empathy and clarity
Stay updated on course offerings, market trends, and competitor programs
Required Skills
6 to 8+ years of experience in education counselling or admissions
Strong communication, persuasion, and presentation skills
Ability to explain technical or professional courses in simple language
Experience in handling fee discussion and objection handling
Target-oriented and result-driven approach
Proficiency in CRM tools, Excel, email, and WhatsApp follow-ups
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Education, Business, or related fields preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in IT training institutes, EdTech
Background in counselling for professional or technical courses
Multilingual skills (English and local language preferred)
