Prepare and develop detailed architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and construction details using AutoCAD and Revit.
Translate conceptual designs and sketches into precise technical drawings for submission, tender, and construction.
Review and check drawings prepared by junior draughtsmen and ensure alignment with design standards.
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, and contractors to ensure drawing consistency across disciplines.
Manage drawing documentation, revisions, and record control in accordance with project and company standards.
Ensure all drawings comply with relevant building codes, bye-laws, and architectural standards.
Prepare working drawings and shop drawings for construction and site execution.
Participate in design coordination meetings and assist in resolving design-related queries.
Mentor, guide, and train junior draughtsmen and interns in drafting best practices.
Support site teams with technical drawings, clarifications, and updates as required.
Experience in
residential, commercial, institutional, or mixed-use
building projects.
Exposure to
BIM workflows
and digital documentation practices.
Knowledge of sustainable building design standards (LEED, IGBC) is an advantage.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma/Bachelor in Architectural Engineering.
5-10 years of experience
as a Draughtsman in an architectural design or construction firm.
Strong proficiency in
AutoCAD, Revit Architecture
, and knowledge of
SketchUp and 3ds Max
is an advantage.
In-depth understanding of architectural design, detailing, and construction documentation.
Familiarity with local
building bye-laws, NBC norms, and municipal submission standards.
Ability to interpret design intent, coordinate multidisciplinary drawings, and produce high-quality output.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
