focused on dispatching company drivers, real-time GPS tracking, and ensuring on-time deliveries through proactive communication and problem-solving. The ideal candidate brings proven experience in trucking dispatch (not freight brokerage), strong coordination skills, and deep understanding of compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispatch & Fleet Oversight
Assign and dispatch loads to company drivers across US and Canada.
Monitor fleet using ELD and GPS tracking systems.
Reroute drivers proactively based on traffic, weather, or service disruptions.
Maintain accurate, real-time status of all active loads in TMS.
Driver & Customer Coordination
Act as the primary point of contact for drivers during transit.
Provide customers with timely updates on delivery statuses.
Troubleshoot delays, breakdowns, and unforeseen issues professionally.
Documentation & Regulatory Compliance
Verify accuracy of BOLs, PODs, and DVIRs.
Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT (US) or MTO, CPC (Canada) regulations.
Review and update HOS logs and other regulatory documents.
Operational & Team Support
Coordinate with warehouse, yard, and shipping departments for smooth pick-up and drop-off scheduling.
Report vehicle issues promptly to fleet maintenance teams.
Support junior dispatchers and assist in process improvements as needed.
Qualifications (Required):
Minimum 3 years of experience in trucking dispatch (company drivers only - not brokerage).
Proficient in using ELD, GPS tracking, and TMS software.
Familiarity with FMCSA/DOT (U.S.) or MTO/CPC (Canada) regulations.
Strong communication skills; ability to multitask in high-pressure environments.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for logs and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing dedicated fleets (dry van, reefer, flatbed).
Knowledge of cross-border shipping procedures and customs documentation.
Leadership experience in dispatch or logistics coordination.
Work Environment:
This is a

Fast-paced, 24/7 dispatch operation - night, weekend, or holiday shifts may be required.
