Job Role: Senior DFT Engineer

Job Summary: We are looking for a Senior DFT Engineer with deep expertise in design for test methodologies, responsible for developing and implementing DFT architectures for complex SoCs. The ideal candidate will have experience owning DFT flows, interacting with cross-functional teams, and leading teams or mentoring junior engineers. Location: Bangalore Department: VLSI DFT Experience: 10+ Years Position Type: Full-Time Key Responsibilities:
Drive DFT architecture definition and implementation for SoC/ASIC designs.
Develop and integrate scan, MBIST, LBIST, boundary scan, and ATPG solutions.
Own DFT strategy from RTL to silicon, including test planning, insertion, simulation, and verification.
Work closely with RTL, STA, PD, and validation teams to ensure seamless integration.
Support test pattern generation and bring-up at ATE.
Debug DFT-related silicon issues and support production ramp.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on DFT best practices.
Interact with customers, review requirements, and deliver DFT solutions per project milestones. Required Skills & Experience:
Strong understanding of DFT concepts: scan, boundary scan (JTAG/IEEE 1149.x), MBIST, LBIST.
Hands-on experience with tools such as Tessent, Modus, DFT Advisor, FastScan, TestKompress, or similar.
Proficient in scripting languages (TCL, Perl, Python) for flow automation.
Good exposure to RTL design and verification flows.
Familiarity with STA, synthesis, and physical design implications of DFT.
Experience with ATE pattern generation and debug (preferably Advantest or Teradyne).
Proven track record of handling DFT for complex SoCs in 7nm/5nm/FinFET technologies.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Prior customer interaction and project leadership experience is a plus. Education:
B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, VLSI, or related field.
