Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of CI/CD, Cloud Infrastructure, and SRE practices for one of our flagship SaaS Platform. This role is critical in modernising our delivery pipelines, improving reliability, strengthening observability, and ensuring smooth operations across all environments.
This is not a routine maintenance role - we want someone who can diagnose, improve, and elevate our systems.
What You'll Do / Own
1. CI/CD Pipelines
You will manage and improve approximately 20-30 pipelines across multiple services.
Responsibilities:
Review existing pipelines and identify bottlenecks.
Standardize workflows across repositories.
Improve build performance and reliability.
Introduce automation around testing, linting, security scanning, and deployments.
Implement pipeline versioning, caching, and branching strategies.
Ensure deployments are predictable, monitored, and traceable.
2. Site Reliability Engineering
You will strengthen our reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Build actionable alerting with proper thresholds and escalation.
Enhance observability dashboards across infrastructure, application, and integrations.
Improve logs structure, retention, and searchability.
Improve synthetic checks, distributed tracing, and uptime monitoring.
Partner with engineering teams to improve reliability standards across the board.
Requirements
Skills & Experience
7-9 years of experience with 3-5 years deep hands-on DevOps/SRE experience.
Strong AWS experience (EECS/EKS or Lambda, RDS, CloudFront, S3, IAM, VPC).
Expertise with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Bitbucket Pipelines).
Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
Strong experience with monitoring/logging tools (New Relic preferred).
Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/Kubernetes).
Strong troubleshooting abilities across infra, networking, compute, and deployments.
Experience improving DevOps/SRE practices in a growing engineering environment.
Ability to guide engineers on:
better infra usage
better deployments
reducing cloud costs
debugging production issues
Strong communication--this role interacts with PMs, engineers, and technical leadership
Preferably one AWS Certification
