About the Senior DevOps Engineer role...
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise as an Infrastructure Platform Engineer. This role involves designing and implementing core platform enhancements while maintaining strong operational excellence. You will provide dedicated, enabling support to various Engineering teams across the organization.
As a key member of the Infrastructure Platform team, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert in:
AWS Cloud infrastructure
Kubernetes administration
Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code
A significant aspect of this position is close collaboration with Data Scientists and Engineers as the infrastructure expert, to ensure the data platform continuously meets the evolving needs of the business.
What you'll do...
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure using Terraform.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the infrastructure platform for performance and cost.
Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to understand their data requirements and provide efficient solutions, adhering to security policies.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve our infrastructure platform.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all platform components.
Act as an escalation point and subject matter expert for BAU support issues related to the infrastructure platform.
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation to support critical production infrastructure.
What you have...
Extensive professional experience in an infrastructure platform engineering role .eg SRE, DevOps
Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, GoLang).
Strong Linux Administration skills and security hardening experience.
Demonstrated deep experience with AWS and the associated data services.
Demonstrated deep experience with Kubernetes or equivalent container orchestration service and underlying technologies .eg Ingress, Network Policies, FluentBit
Experience with big data and streaming technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) is highly desirable.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery).
Understanding of MLOps and LLMOps principles.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Strong independent work ethic with the capacity for sound, logical decision-making.
Can work in a small cross functional team, balancing multiple competing priorities
