Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Senior Python Developer with a minimum of 7 years hands-on experience to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining Python3-based applications and services for our IoT solutions. You have a strong background in backend development, microservice architecture and a keen eye for detail. You will play a key role in mentoring team members and contributing to a collaborative, forward-thinking development environment.

Key Responsibilities:

IoT Solution Development: Design, develop, and maintain Python IoT applications and systems to collect, process, and analyze data from connected MULTIVAC lines. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor and troubleshoot Python based IoT solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability for our customers. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for IoT projects, including code, configurations, and system architecture. Participate in code review and unit testing of developed solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams spread across the globe. Stay updated with the latest IoT trends and technologies. Act as a mentor for team members, providing guidance, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

Mandatory Technical Attributes:

Engineering bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field. Minimum 7 years of strong experience in Python3 development. Experience with RESTful API design and microservice architecture. Hands-on experience with FastAPI and SQLAlchemy. Understanding of caching, performance tuning, and asynchronous programming. Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Docker. Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions). Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Desirable Technical Attributes:

Experience with cloud and edge architectures, particularly with Azure. Experience with Python packages such as asyncio, pydantic and pytest. Experience with IoT communication protocols and standards (e.g., MQTT, AMQP, OPC-UA). Experience in developing software for low resource devices (e.g. RaspberryPi class)

Professional Attributes:

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Exposure to German language/culture is a plus. Experience in working with global stakeholders and ability to work with intercultural teams. Extensive experience collaborating in SCRUM-based Agile teams. Flexibility to work according to German time zones. Available for short-term international travel for meetings, training, and project activities
