About The Role


Will be responsible for API development, integration, and routing, ensuring secure and reliable communication with API servers hosted in Japan. The role requires close collaboration with the database team to integrate customer information systems, while maintaining performance and scalability of APIs.


Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain

APIs

using Python. Configure, manage, and monitor

Kong API Gateway

for routing and security. Work with

REST and SOAP APIs

to integrate internal and external systems. Collaborate with the

database team

for data integration related to customer information. Ensure compliance with API security standards, scalability, and performance benchmarks. Document API specifications, integration flows, and best practices. Troubleshoot API-related issues including connectivity, performance, and availability. Support deployment and monitoring of APIs across environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 4+ years of professional experience in software development. Strong proficiency in

Python

. Proven hands-on experience with

Kong API Gateway

(design, routing, policies, plugins). Experience with

REST and SOAP API

development and integration. Strong understanding of

API security, versioning, and best practices

. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with

API testing tools

(Postman, JMeter). Familiarity with

cloud platforms

(AWS, Azure, or GCP). Knowledge of

CI/CD pipelines

and DevOps practices. Understanding of

authentication & authorization

(OAuth2, JWT, SAML).
