We are looking for a candidate that is experienced in all phases of data visualization projects, from requirements gathering, finding data sources, creating data models and initial queries, designing ETLs, developing interactive reports and dashboards, to rollout, training, and support. The candidate must be able to deliver detailed interactive reports to help measure performance and drive process improvements. Real-time dashboards that monitor our systems and operational health Collaboration and building relationships with multiple business and infrastructure teams will be critical for the candidate to be effective in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business partners to elicit requirements, business rules, metrics, and potential data sources.
• Locate and extract data from a variety of sources for use in analysis, strategy, and project development.
• Develop initial queries for profiling data, validating analysis, testing assumptions, driving data quality assessment specifications, and define a path to deployment.
• Design, build, and support resilient and self-healing data sets for use in reporting and real-time dashboards.
• Create functional interactive reports and real-time dashboards to support our business teams and leadership.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, Business/Management, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, or other relevant quantitative field including relevant Business / Data Analysis certifications and 3+ years of related experience required.
• Self-starter and problem-solving mindset.
• Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience directly working with the client and users during development, roll-out, training, and support.
• Demonstrable experience with some or all of the following: PowerBI, Tableau, Python, AWS, or other database interface tools and languages.
• Willing to learn PowerBI.
• Familiarity with adapting SQL queries to work between different installations such as Oracle, Teradata, and Postgres.
• Knowledgeof working with advanced SQL queries, including performance tuning, utilizing indexes, window functions, and materialized views to improve query performance.
• Experience in creating logical data models with defined relationships between tables.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

• Advanced level ability to manage a reporting database environment, troubleshoot, and automate reporting within Teradata/AWS using SQL/Python preferred.
• Advanced level expertise in PowerBI, with knowledge of Push/Streaming Datasets, Dataverse, Tabular Editor.
