Summary:
The Senior Developer is responsible for the overall planning, execution and success of complex software solutions. Provides technical guidance and mentoring to his team member and is responsible for their success. The Tech Lead will collaborate with technical leadership to translate business requirements into technical solutions that align with product roadmap, business goals, and technology strategy.

• 8+ years of practical experience in software engineering in a commercial setting
• Excellent core Java programming skills including multi-threading
• In-depth experience of using and detailed knowledge about the Spring framework (2+ years)
• Experience in data access, server-side integrations, extensions, and building RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of automated unit testing, acceptance testing and TDD approach
• Software engineering experience including source code management (SCM), refactoring, continuous integration and build processes
• Experience with continuous software delivery
• Understanding of mastery with build environments and delivery pipelines
• A strong knowledge of design patterns, principles and clean coding techniques with the ability to make practical choices based on that knowledge
• Understanding of one or more relational databases
• Comfortable working in agile teams
• Full stack mind-set – open to learn both back-end and front-end technologies as part of the various development tasks you will be performing
• Experience in cloud application development and deployments, e.g. AWS or operational experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Able to thrive in a fast paced environment

Position Responsibilities:

• Create and oversee technical strategies and architectures; provide technical direction and oversight to the team; ensure that the technical strategy aligns to the short- and long-term goals of the organization.
• Help other team members by taking part in regular code reviews and share your work through activities such as reviews, pairing, hackathons and demos;
• Defines and reviews the backlog together with the team, though planning and estimation activities.
• Development of new features, enhancements, fixes and optimization.
• Work with other team members to ensure the best possible performance, quality and improve these qualities over time.
• Partner with Product Management team to review and triage customer reported incidents.
• Taking data driven decisions as part of day to day activity.
• Author, review, and approve code contributions.
• Operate as a trusted advisor to influence and lead on software design standards and processes.
• Collaborate with technical and architectural leadership across teams and programs to ensure the team strategy is in line with the company strategy.
• Operate as an innovative thought leader; contribute significantly to the overall growth and quality of programs and teams through knowledge sharing and coaching on the current best practices and market trends within the industry.
