The position seeks a creative and fashion-savvy individual to lead the design and development of menswear collections, encompassing casualwear, workwear, and occasion wear. The ideal candidate should possess a strong aesthetic sense and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop menswear collections across various categories.
Create fabrics, prints, embellishments, and silhouette details relevant to the market.
Build mood boards, line sheets, and color stories reflecting seasonal concepts.
Prepare detailed tech packs with construction specifications and trims.
Coordinate with sourcing and product teams to manage sampling timelines.
Collaborate with production and product development on supplier allocation, costing, and quality adherence.
Monitor fit samples and participate in fittings, ensuring proportion and style balance.
Attend weekly fit sessions, providing input on design details and assisting garment technologists with necessary CADs.
Prepare monthly release CAD boards for display.
Compile design and sign-off meeting note packs.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or Apparel Technology.
2-5 years of experience in menswear design with a strong portfolio and commercial awareness.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD, and InDesign.
Solid understanding of menswear construction, fabric drape, and trending silhouettes.
Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
Flexibility to adapt working methods to meet brand requirements and deadlines.
Confidence to present work individually to a broader team.
