You\'ve worked on multiple similar projects already, and you\'re looking for a new adventure. You\xe2\x80\x99re a tireless advocate for the customer \xe2\x80\x94 enthusiastic about building and iterating on designs to discover what works best and applying your knowledge to create incredible software products. You\'re passionate about data, analytics and generative AI, and you want to work on projects that will change the financial world for the better.


You\'re fluent at communicating with product managers and developers, bringing your team together to simplify, integrate, and co-create successful customer experiences. You\xe2\x80\x99re also comfortable working with others to build alignment on what we want as a team, what our industry partners and customers need and how we\xe2\x80\x99ll build Data & AI solutions that will help make Microsoft Cloud for Financial Services an offering that our partners and customers love.


You\xe2\x80\x99ll work in a focused team collaborating with interaction and AI designers, researchers, data scientists, product managers and design leads. The role\xe2\x80\x99s broad scope will give you ample room to flex your design muscles \xe2\x80\x94 both on projects that have immediate impact on our Microsoft cloud business as well as explorations that shape our long-term AI strategy, vision and UX direction of its products.

Microsoft Cloud for Financial Services

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Generate and synthesize ideas to enhance product designs, considering various perspectives (e.g., business, technology). Collect user-centered insights from customer research and trends.
• Create and validate designs through customer-driven methods, effectively communicating findings and design logic.
• Develop journey maps, wireframes, task flows, and personas to support design interactions, delivering artifacts at different fidelity levels. You\'ll work on improving user experiences, acting as a bridge between users and products, and ensuring designs meet user needs.
• Organize and facilitate idea sessions, drive customer workshops, pitch decks and vision videos, or other materials that help align people on common goals/direction.
• Scope and estimate efforts accurately, prioritize tasks and goals independently. Schedule work delivery, define product design needs based on user insights and business requirements, and identify unspoken needs.
• Support Engineering with design implementation, participating in Q&As to maintain design quality and adapt designs as needed during development.
• Contribute to broader Design team creative processes, team building, and our strong cultural values around diversity, inclusion, transparency, and growth mindset.

Qualifications

Required skills and professional experience:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in design (or related field) or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of professional industry experience in interaction and/or product design.
• Proficiency in Figma and at least 2 years of experience with large/complex design system.
• A portfolio demonstrating experience across information architecture, interaction, and visual design skills.
• Ability to create highly polished design prototypes, mockups, and other communication artifacts.
• Ability to drive success through moments of ambiguity, helping drive clarity amongst the team.
• Expertise on quickly iterating on wireframes and mockups in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding storytelling ability to generate empathy, using written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Solid understanding of working with or contributing to comprehensive design systems.
• Experience scoping, prioritizing, and estimating goal-oriented design efforts accurately.
