POSITION SUMMARY Sr Designer Architecture will be responsible for the coordination of project Architectural Design tasks associated with development of the NEOM Mountain region which consists of Recreational assets comprising of site wide infrastructure, Ski Slopes, Hiking and nature trails and Real Estate comprising of Hotels, Ultra Luxury mansions, Villages, lifestyle and resorts. The Sr Designer - Architecture will be responsible for coordinating the scope assigned to subcontracted design entities, 3D model reviews, coordination, and guidance of physical model development decisions.Leads formal and informal 3D model reviews. Working location will be a single status assignment at Bechtel/project office or design consultants' office. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Plans architectural preliminary layouts, prepares detailed architectural layout drawings. Prepares building material interface details for review by Architects/Senior Architects. Prepares architectural designs and construction drawings using 2-D / 3-D computer aided design (CAD), presentation graphics and architectural models. Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines. Participates in studies that require knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in architectural work. Assists in on-the-job training and development of assigned Architecture designers. Assists in preparation of forecasts, quantity take-offs and change orders. Participates in and fosters a work environment that is based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction. JOB KNOWLEDGE: Technical knowledge of architectural concepts, basic engineering interrelationships, applications of construction methods and materials and application of computer aided engineering tools to architectural problems. Has knowledge of Autodesk design suite (Revit, AutoCAD) and is proficient in model viewing software (e.g., Autodesk Navisworks) to navigate the 3D model for review, coordination, and guidance of physical model development decisions. Leads formal and informal 3D model reviews. Knowledgeable in the use and application of relevant business software, GIS programs, Photoshop, and 3D sketch up. Good knowledge of major industry or regulatory standards and design criteria pertinent to the architectural discipline. Has experience with Architectural work planning, scheduling and cost estimating. Basic skill in oral and written communication. Skills & Qualifications: A recognized degree/diploma in architecture from an accredited college or university with minimum 10 years of experience, OR Specialized courses in architectural design, drafting, materials engineering, construction methods and related engineering design, equivalent to the above, AND Practical work experience to the extent necessary to perform the responsibilities outlined above.This practical work experience must be primarily in architecture but may be supplemented by relevant experience in allied phases of the building industry, including construction. Previous experience as an architect designer with hands on experience and understanding of Recreational assets comprising of site wide infrastructure, Ski Slopes, Hiking and nature trails and Real Estate comprising of Hotels, Ultra Luxury mansions, Villages, lifestyle and resorts will be preferred. Practical work experience sufficient to demonstrate competence and breadth in architectural designs.
