Senior Design Manager

Location:

Thane, Mumbai

Experience :

5 years in designing machinery, heavy equipment, or industrial structures.

Education:

BE/B.Tech in Mechanical (M.Tech preferred)

Job Summary

lead the design department

of the company.
You will handle

design projects from start to finish

-- from drawings, approvals, and standards, to working with other departments and clients. You will also lead

R&D and New Product Development

to bring new technology and improve existing products.

Roles & Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Handling

Lead the

Design Department

. Guide, train, and build a strong design team. Plan, manage budgets, and evaluate team performance.

Design & Engineering Work

Approve and review

engineering, fabrication, and assembly drawings

. Follow all industry codes, standards, and technical specs. Do

reverse engineering

(study existing machines and redesign/improve them).

Technical Expertise

Use

AutoCAD & 3D software

(SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.). Understand

manufacturing processes, fabrication, hydraulics, electrical panels, and structural analysis

. Make designs that are

cost-effective, efficient, and high-performance

.

Cross-Team & Client Coordination

Work with

foreign partners

on technology transfer and joint projects. Coordinate with

Procurement, Manufacturing & Quality teams

to solve design/production issues. Support

business development

team with technical inputs in proposals.

Innovation & New Development

Lead

R&D projects

to improve products. Drive

New Product Development

from idea stage to market launch. Introduce new

design methods and best practices

.

Required Skills:

AutoCAD + 3D modelling (SolidWorks/Inventor). Knowledge of

fabrication, manufacturing, hydraulics, electrical panels, structural design

. Reverse engineering experience. Knowledge of quality standards.

Managerial Qualities

: Leadership & team management. Project management (planning, monitoring, risk handling). Strong communication (internal team + clients + foreign partners).

Personal Qualities

: Problem solver, analytical thinker. Innovative, quality-focused, improvement-driven. Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced setup.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
