Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to independently handle

complete mechanical design

, including automation assemblies, robotic mechanisms, 3D modelling, GD&T, sheet metal, material selection, and engineering calculations. The candidate will lead project designs and guide junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

Lead

3D modelling, assemblies

, and detailed manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks. Create advanced

2D and 3D layout drawings

, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation layouts. Provide

IGES, STEP, CAD models, and layout drawings

to vendors as required. Prepare complete

BOMs

, revision control, and design documentation. Perform detailed

mechanical calculations

(load, torque, stress, actuator sizing, gearbox selection, fits & tolerances). Select appropriate

materials, bearings, gearboxes, pneumatic components, linear guides, couplings, and industrial mechanical hardware

. Execute sheet-metal design: enclosures, brackets, panels, covers, machine structures, etc. Work on mechanisms for

automation lines, robotics assemblies, actuators, gantry systems, SPMs

, etc. Coordinate with production, purchase, and vendors for design clarifications and manufacturability. Communicate with clients to

understand technical requirements & customization

. Review and guide junior engineers' designs and drawings.

Skills Required

Expert in

SolidWorks

(assemblies, part modelling, drafting, configurations) AutoCAD 2D expert (layouts, plant layouts, machine layouts) Strong knowledge of

mechanical components, sheet metal, fabrication, machining processes

Ability to perform detailed engineering design & calculations Exposure to

robotics & automation systems

GD&T and tolerance stack-up knowledge Strong project ownership and team leadership

Qualification & Experience

BE / BTech - Mechanical

3-6 years

in mechanical/automation/robotics design
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
