Role: Senior Design Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 Mechanical

Responsibilities

• To execute the design & development activities of Motion products like BLDC motor, DC motor, Actuator and Solenoids for various applications as per QMS procedures/APQP/IATF requirements.
• Responsible for designing, releasing, and modifying prototype drawings and followed by detailed production drawings and BOM pr\xc3\xa9paration for the motor.
• Contributes to the Delivery of a Mechanical design outputs, in compliance with the Johnson Electric Engineering commitment.
• Creating detailed technical specifications and documentation for motor designs.
• Developing prototypes and performing testing to validate the motor\xe2\x80\x99s performance and durability to meet launch and space environments.
• To participate in Design review meetings as per the project review frequency.
• Coordination with customer and suppliers in developing the product/components as per target mentioned in Quality Objectives.
• Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and analysis to determine the appropriate motor specifications and parameters.
• Providing technical guidance and support to other members of the engineering team.
• Upload the models into Team Center Engineering (Retrieving the files, managing the data with Check- outs and Check-ins, submitting/uploading the Datasets, Creating Releasing Processes.)

Requirements

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum experience required 6 to 10 years in motor design (Brush/Brushless/Actuator)
• Must have minimum 8 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience using Solid Edge / Creo / Solid works \xe2\x80\x93 sheet metal,

Casting modelling, Assembling and Detailing.

• Strong Knowledge in Motor and Actuator design,
• Strong mechanical design & analysis skill, design calculation of motor, GD&T, tolerance stack up, FEA, DFMEA, DVP knowledge is required
• Responsible for reporting progress of all assigned tasks to the Engineering Manager and Project Management team
• Works closely with operations, manufacturing, and production engineers to ensure products are designed for manufacture
• Conducting simulations and modelling to optimize motor performance and efficiency
• Excellent interpersonal, project/time management, written and oral communication, prioritization,

Problem-solving skills to forge solid internal and external relationships.

• Good exposure to the use of product Lifecyle Management tools \xe2\x80\x93 Teamcenter, Windchill etc.
• Experience in material selection based on functional requirement and application of manufactured.
• Analyzing failure root cause, documentation, standardization (Production) and managing simulation field failure and taking corrective actions field failure and taking corrective actions.
