Job Description

Senior Design Engineer is responsible for leading the preparation of electrical
design deliverables, ensuring technical completeness, coordination with project
team, and compliance before submission to the client and approval. The role also
includes technical guidance to Design Engineers and interface coordination
across disciplines.
Electrical Design Engineering:
? Lead preparation of electrical design packages for renewable and power
projects including, Solar, Wind and BESS along with Power evacuation
systems and substation interface.
? Develop and review of Single-Line Diagrams(SLD), Electrical layouts and
schematics, Cable sizing, voltage drop and short-circuit calculations.
? Engineering electrical systems for MV/HV systems (11kV - 400kV)
including, Inverter, transformer, switchgear.
Technical Compliance:
? Identify design gaps, constructability issues, and optimization
opportunities.
? Review project requirements, specifications, and design concepts to
ensure compliance.
? Ensure design align with project specifications, Grid codes and utility
requirements, also as per IEC/IEE/IS Standards.
? Prepare and review of Electrical technical specifications, BOQs and
support technical bid evaluations.
Collaboration and Support:
? Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team
members to resolve design issues and implement solutions.
? Provide technical information and ideas to support the engineering
team.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
? Maintain quality and completeness of electrical design submissions.
? Timely closure of design review comments.
? Effective mentoring of Discipline engineers
Quality Assurance:
? Check technical drafts for accuracy in calculations, measurements, and
units.
? Perform quality checks on drawings for function, fit, and submission.

? Grid integration and Protection concepts
? Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
? Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
? Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineering teams and
stakeholders
Job Location: Office-based in India (with flexibility across major metro cities/Project hubs)
Qualification: Masters or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
Experience (Minimum): Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical preferably in Renewable and power
projects
Software Knowledge: PVsyst, ETAP, PLS CAD, PSE, AutoCAD & MS Office
