We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading design projects from conception through to completion, ensuring that all engineering solutions meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, systems engineering, and project management, along with proficiency in various design software and programming languages.
Duties
Lead the design and development of innovative engineering solutions in alignment with project requirements.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
Utilize AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD tools for creating detailed schematics and mechanical designs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project scheduling and management to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Engage in data collection and analysis to support design decisions and improvements.
Apply principles of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) in design specifications.
Develop systems designs that integrate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation projects.
Conduct research and laboratory experiments to validate design concepts.
Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in mechanical design and project execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Quantum Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in project management within manufacturing or construction environments.
Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, systems engineering, and data analysis skills.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and MATLAB for automation tasks.
Familiarity with 3D scanning technology and its application in design processes.
Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to apply them to complex engineering problems.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
