As we develop an enterprise-wide data and digital strategy that moves us toward a greater focus on the use of data and strengthening our capabilities, we are seeking a Delivery Lead, Business Intelligence, and Reporting. In this role, you will manage and lead the provision of relevant Business Intelligence that enables the organization with necessary, timely insights to drive business decisions, build our dynamic advantage and help differentiate in the market through faster and better execution.
What you'll be DOING
What will your essential responsibilities include
Data Visualization & Dashboard Management:
Demonstrate expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards that deliver actionable insights, ensuring the integration of accurate and current data sources.
Business Intelligence Delivery:
Exhibit proficiency in creating and delivering relevant, timely BI reports and dashboards that support decision-making processes across various functions within the insurance value chain.
Data-Driven Strategy & Advisory:
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to business leadership by analyzing data, identifying growth opportunities, and pinpointing operational efficiencies.
Self-Service BI Enablement:
Facilitate business self-sufficiency in BI by implementing and managing appropriate tools, along with delivering targeted training to empower users.
Talent Development & Inclusion:
Lead initiatives to develop data skills within teams, promoting diversity and inclusion, to maximize the value derived from digital, data, and analytics assets.
Resource & Capacity Planning:
Effectively manage resource allocation, project demand, and capacity planning for ongoing projects and operational activities.
Customer-Centric Service Orientation:
Foster a customer-first approach by prioritizing high-quality service delivery to business stakeholders and continuously improving stakeholder engagement.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide project delivery to ensure alignment with business goals and strategic priorities.
You will report to Vice President, Division Lead- Business Intelligence & Reporting.
What you will BRING
We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
Required Skills and Abilities:
Professional Experience:
Relevant years of relevant experience supporting data and analytics roles, including analytics, data engineering, or BI specialization & Proven track record of leading large-scale BI programs or teams, with extensive experience managing complex projects.
Data Visualization:
Proficiency in designing and developing intuitive, interactive dashboards and visualizations that enable stakeholders to interpret data easily and make informed decisions.
Reporting Tools Expertise:
Extensive experience with BI and reporting tools, particularly Power BI, to create, automate, and maintain reports and dashboards aligned with business needs.
SQL & Data Querying:
Excellent skills in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL processes). Ability to write complex queries to support data analysis and visualization requirements.
Data Architecture & Integration:
Understanding of data sources, data warehousing, and integration techniques to ensure accurate, consistent, and timely data delivery across systems.
Data Management & Governance:
Knowledge of data quality, security, and governance best practices to maintain integrity and compliance of BI solutions.
Analytical & Data Modelling Skills:
Ability to develop data models, perform statistical analysis, and derive insights that drive business strategies and operational efficiencies.
Emerging Technologies & AI:
Passion for digital transformation, AI, and advanced analytics, with an understanding of how these technologies can enhance BI capabilities.
Programming & Automation (Optional but advantageous):
Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for advanced analytics and automation in BI workflows.
Educational Qualification:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. A master's degree is preferred.
