Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented

Database Administrator (DBA)

with strong hands-on expertise in

MongoDB

,

MariaDB

, and/or

Oracle

in production environments. The ideal candidate will also bring robust skills in

Linux system administration

,

scripting (Perl, Python, Shell)

, and a strong grasp of

SQL and NoSQL database technologies

.

This role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, backup, and recovery across multiple database systems, as well as deep troubleshooting and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain

MongoDB (production)

,

MariaDB

, and/or

Oracle

databases. Perform

backup and recovery operations

, using native and third-party tools. Optimize database performance through

query tuning

, indexing strategies, and monitoring. Design and implement

monitoring, alerting

, and

automated maintenance

tasks. Manage

Linux servers

used for database hosting; troubleshoot OS and networking issues affecting DB performance. Develop and maintain

automation scripts

using

Shell, Perl, or Python

. Work closely with application developers and DevOps teams to ensure DB reliability, scalability, and security. Perform regular

health checks

,

capacity planning

, and participate in

disaster recovery (DR) planning

. Maintain documentation and knowledge base for database systems and maintenance procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong hands-on experience with

MongoDB in production environments

. Proficient in managing

MariaDB

and/or

Oracle databases

. Solid knowledge of

SQL

(queries, stored procedures, performance tuning). Experience with

NoSQL concepts

and managing distributed data. Strong background in

Linux administration

and

network troubleshooting

. Proficiency in

scripting languages

like

Shell

,

Perl

, or

Python

for automation. Experience in

database performance tuning

,

query optimization

, and

troubleshooting

. Proven track record in

backup and recovery

strategy implementation. Ability to work in a high-availability, mission-critical environment.

Good to Have:

Exposure to or hands-on experience with

Elasticsearch

and/or

Redis

. Experience with

cloud platforms

(AWS, GCP, Azure) for database hosting and management. Familiarity with

containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).

Education & Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Certifications in MongoDB, Oracle, or Linux administration are a plus.

Pay: ₹90,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
