Job Description

In this role, you will:
Lead or participate in database management activities including designing highly complex logical and physical databases
Lead highly complex data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning efforts
Perform the planning, research, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of server class databases
Design and implement security solutions including Center for Internet Security benchmarks and auditing
Design and certify next generation database technologies
Consult with and advise management and multiple clients on high impact data or database management issues, influencing strategic direction
Provide technical leadership and recommendation into the future direction of database technology
Develop management policies, procedures, standards, and best practices
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications, India:
8 years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:
Expert in SQL Server AlwaysOn, Clustering, Replication & Tuning Databases
Expert in Backup and Recovery , Disaster Recovery
Test and come up with new features and document best practices
Hands on in implementing end to end complex database projects.
Good in OS Administration, Scripting, Monitoring Tools
Good in multi 3rd party monitoring and ticketing tools
Knowledge on Cloud and Bigdata architecture
Banking Domain knowledge

Job Expectations:
MongoDB, PostgreSql are added advantage
Should be able to handle technical/process tasks independently
Should be able to handle EACO's independently

Expert in Database infrastructure, tools, methodologies, process, Backup and Recovery, Disaster Recovery
Expert in database clustering, mirroring and multi-node architectures
Expert in Advanced database concepts like multi-directional replication
Hands on in supporting end to end database projects.
Experience in handling large databases
Review/Prepare/Deploy the Database plan for the Change Requests & Work Requests for Production and Non -production environments .Primary DBA for the set of applications in the line of business
Single point of Database technical contact for the channel of business he /she leads for.
Fine tune the database and the application batch programs in collaboration with application teams.
Generate Ideas and Improvements- Process/Technical
Collaborate with application Team and US partners and run the efficiency programs
Good understanding of the channel of business and its dependencies in terms of databases.
Test New features and document best practices

Must Have Skills - Always On, Clustering, Patching
