In this role, you will:
Lead or participate in database management activities including designing highly complex logical and physical databases
Lead highly complex data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning efforts
Perform the planning, research, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of server class databases
Design and implement security solutions including Center for Internet Security benchmarks and auditing
Design and certify next generation database technologies
Consult with and advise management and multiple clients on high impact data or database management issues, influencing strategic direction
Provide technical leadership and recommendation into the future direction of database technology
Develop management policies, procedures, standards, and best practices
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications, US:
9 years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:
Drive & Improve the Databases efficiency and effectiveness of the channel of business he/she lead for .
Expert in database infrastructure, tools, methodologies, process, backup and recovery , disaster recovery
Expert in RAC, DataGuard, Golden Gate
Expert in advanced database concepts like multi-directional replication, golden gate 12c and 19c implementation and troubleshooting skills
Hands on experience on multitenant architecture
Proficient in shell scripting, powershell scripting
Cloud (Exadata) database maintenance and migration knowledge desirable
Hands on in supporting complex end to end database projects.
Experience in handling large TB databases
L2 knowledge on MSSQL server databases
Review/Prepare/Deploy the Database plan for the Change Requests & Work Requests for Production and Non -production environments
Primary DBA for the set of applications in the line of business
Single point of Database technical contact for the channel of business he /she leads for.
Fine tune the database and the application batch programs in collaboration with application teams.

Participate/Assist in Capacity Planning, Design of the databases.
Good understanding of the channel of business and its dependencies in terms of databases.

Increase his/her technology capabilities by self-learning, lab and Learning & Development programs
Develop and Maintain DBA runbooks/gameplans
Process enhancements as applicable to his channel/line of business
Conduct tech talks and brown bags
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
