An Ideal Candidate:
An ideal candidate with 12+ years' experience in Senior Database Administration/Architect with strong experience in Azure, SQL with migration, optimization and indexing.
Key Competencies:
1. 6+ years of experience in database administration, management, performance engineering with expertise in MS-SQL databases.
2. Strong hands-on experience with MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and Azure Cosmos DB.
3. Expertise in implementing database designs (relational and non-relational) and security architecture, ensuring data integrity and protection.
4. Deep understanding of database performance optimization, query tuning, and indexing techniques.
5. Proven experience with data migrations, high availability setups, and disaster recovery planning and execution.
6. Experience in evaluating and recommending appropriate database technologies, tools, and platforms based on project-specific requirements.
7. Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and hands-on experience with data analytics and reporting tools.
8. Strong understanding of database security, including encryption, authentication, and access control.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex database-related issues.
10. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and analysts.
11. Azure Managed Instance experience is must.
