Job Description

Extensive experience in Azure SQL & SQL Server architecture, administration, and optimization.


Proven experience managing and optimizing mission-critical production Azure SQL and SQL Server environments with a strong emphasis on high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.


Deep understanding of database security principles, data encryption, and compliance frameworks relevant to cloud databases.


Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and post-mortem processes for database-related outages.


Hands-on expertise with Azure Portal, ARM templates, and automation tools (such as Azure Automation, PowerShell, or Azure CLI).


Strong scripting skills for database management in a cloud context.


Familiarity with database version control (e.g., Git integration for schema changes) and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.


Demonstrated expertise in analyzing, optimizing, and comprehensively documenting existing cloud-native custom scripts and operational processes.


Advanced proficiency in identifying and resolving complex performance bottlenecks, deadlocks, and query optimization challenges in high-transaction production environments.


Experience providing technical leadership and guidance to teams navigating cloud transformations and significant process enhancements, and supporting seamless transitions.


Demonstrated ability to empower and uplift team members through clear guidance and structured knowledge transfer.


Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex Azure concepts for diverse audiences.


Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for creating clear, actionable documentation.
